Who Decides Which CPA Projects We Will Fund
Shelburne will decide how our CPA money will spent!
We will create a Shelburne Community Preservation Committee. The composition of this CPA Committee will be established by a Warrant at the 2023 Annual Town Meeting after CPA passes in November (assuming it does pass).
The CPA Committee will develop a CPA Plan to assess Shelburne's needs CPA-related needs.
Each year Shelburne residents will submit project proposals which will be reviewed and evaluated by the CPA Committee. The Committee will seek input from the public and Town boards and committees about each proposal.
The CPA Committee recommends CPA projects to the Annual Town Meeting.
If Annual Town Meeting approves a project it moves forward. If not, it fails.
